Intro to Oil Painting

During this course, students will learn the rudimentary elements of oil painting through the creation of an academic style of still-life. We will explore the steps in which an oil painting comes together in a way which is beginner friendly. Students will get constructive feedback and instruction to improve skills. This course is designed to introduce students to naturalistic painting techniques, the mysterious fat over lean method, and the building of successive layers towards a finished painting.
