Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Powwow – July 26-28

Immerse yourself in Indigenous culture at the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal Powwow. For 40 years, the annual Powwow has welcomed visitors and community members alike to the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Reservation to experience, celebrate, and learn about the rich heritage and culture of Indigenous People.

The Powwow officially begins with the lighting of the sacred fire that burns throughout the weekend and the Grand Entry of dancers. Witness various Indigenous dance styles from over 500 dancers ranging from juniors (6-11) to elders (65 and older), drumming, chanting, and regalia. Sample authentic cuisine like fry bread and shop for arts and crafts.
