Book Binding 101

Looking for a creative outlet that can be utilized in a number of art forms?  Instructor Kim Bigard will guide you in practicing the art of bookbinding.  Books can be created for a multitude of art outlets: journaling, creative writing, sketchbooks, garden journals, and more!  You can expect to learn basic pamphlet stitch binding, stab binding, and Coptic stitch binding in this class.  This is a great way to use interesting paper and ephemera you have collected, including handmade paper.  Students are welcome to bring their favorite papers but all supplies will be provided.

This 2-week course takes place 5:30-8:00 pm, Tuesdays May 7 & 14 in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.
