Stroll through city parks like Mission Creek Woodland Park, Mill Pond Park, or Chipp-A-Waters Park and enjoy beautiful trails and green space. Take in the views with scenic trails along the jewel of Central Michigan, the Chippewa River in Deerfield Nature Park & Meridian Park. Hike to the tallest point in Isabella County at the Bundy Hill Preserve.

Enjoy a delicious meal with your pet outside on a Mt. Pleasant patio downtown like Max & Emily’s Eatery and Ponder Coffee Company. Skip over to Hunter’s Ale House to enjoy handcrafted brews on the hop-growing patio. Don’t forget to spoil your pup with March through October with a free “doggie dish” of vanilla ice cream from Doozie’s Ice Cream Shop. Remeber your cash though – Doozie’s is a cash only establishment.
Dog Park
For some off-leash fun, you can head to Hannah’s Bark Park, a beautiful and well-kept dog park near Mission Woodland Creek Park. The park offers two fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. Visitors can purchase a weekly pass through the City of Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation for $5, along with proof of rabies shot and an application.
