Mt. Pleasant is know for its commitment to give back. There are many opportunities to volunteer in Mt. Pleasant, and the city is home to a wide variety of organizations that rely on volunteers to help them achieve their mission. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and make a difference in your community.

Volunteer Oppourtunites:

  • Bonny’s Clean Up Crew:  Join Bonny’s Clean Up Crew. Meeting every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at different locations throughout Mt. Pleasant, Bonny’s cleans the parks for about an hour and then eats breakfast at Ponder Coffee Co.. Anyone is welcome to come.

  • Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity Isabella County aims to seek passionate individuals and organizations to join us in our fight against substandard housing in Isabella County. Volunteer for a Habitat for Humanity committee, work with our construction crew, or volunteer at Restore helping to provide discounted buiding materials and home goods to the Mt. Pleasant community.

  • Humane Animal Treatment Society: The Humane Animal Treatment Society is always seeking dedicated volunteers for a variety of activites to provide care and socilization for their animals on a consistent basis.

  • Gold Key Volunteer Opportunites: Providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to volunteer their time and talents to assist Older Adults throughout Isabella County.

  • Isabella Community Soup Kitchen: Help the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen Monday through Friday preparing and serving meals, serving sides, drinks, sanitizing during meals, or reach out for a special project or unique group activity.

  • Karma Kat Cafe: Cat lovers. Meet Here. Volunteer your time daily with Karma Kat Cafe and help with cleaning, organization, and cat care. Stick around after your volunteer shift to hang out with the cats!

  • McLaren Central Michigan: Welcoming volunteers to help in many areas as volunteers help make McLauren Central Michigan a warm,personal place.  Responsibilities may include working in the gift shop, staffing the information desk, supporting families in a waiting room, etc. All potential volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and have at least a high school diploma.

  • MyMichiganHealth: Volunteers are a valuable asset to MyMichigan Health. The presence and the assistance they provide enhances the quality of care we offer our patients and families. There are a variety of areas where volunteers can serve, and we are always seeking new areas of assistance.
