Civil Defense Arm Band
(Attached to the front of the building)
During World War II, the Civil Defense warden would stand atop this building (3 stories at the time) to observe “blackouts” and watch for enemy planes coming to bomb the oil refineries in Mt. Pleasant.
The piece created is a Civil Defense warden’s arm band draped over a flag holder.
