Between the changing colors and dropping temperatures, fall has arrived in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Whether lounging on your back porch or attending a football game, there’s always a special way to celebrate fall in Central Michigan.

The Mt. Pleasant Area Convention & Visitors Bureau was excited to bring back the annual #FeelsLikeFall Instagram contest for 2021! Residents and visitors alike were encouraged to snap a photo of what fall in Mt. Pleasant feels like to them, and then share it to Instagram. Having the ability to capture that familiar fall feeling through the perspective of someone different with each post is what makes this contest special, and we would like to share some of our favorites from this year!

Central Michigan University’s Homecoming started off with the parade throughout campus, rounding up current students, alumni, and community members to celebrate the Chippewas. Check out this photo submission from @theresamarie1106 and her family waiting for the parade to start!

We were so excited to see this photo submission from @tessacline7! A special moment combined with the beautiful backdrop of Michigan’s changing leaves makes for the perfect fall photo.

Fire Up Chips! CMU’s Homecoming was a big hit for this year’s #FeelsLikeFall contest, and these girls didn’t let the cloudy weather stop them from cheering on the Chippewas at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Check out this submission from @rachel.bednarz!

The best part about this contest is seeing the different ways people capture what fall in Mt. Pleasant looks like to them. To @krisbook3, it looks like the changing colors on all the trees throughout our parks!
