Mount Pleasant becomes Pure Michigan

The Mount Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (MPACVB) along with community partners has created a Pure Michigan campaign for the Mt. Pleasant area proclaiming our area as the “sweet center of Michigan.”

“We have had a lot of community support for this campaign” says Chris Rowley, Executive Director. This campaign would not be as strong as it is without our local partners; Art Reach of Mid Michigan, Central Michigan University, Central Michigan University Research Corporation, City of Mt. Pleasant, Middle Michigan Development Corporation, Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, Mount Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce, and Union Township.

The campaign truly encompasses the community as a whole and hopes it will attract new visitors to our area. “The Pure Michigan campaign brought in a lot of new dollars to our state and we want Mt. Pleasant and Isabella County to get our share of it.”

The state’s popular Pure Michigan campaign is the sixth most recognized state tourism campaign in the world and Michigan.org the #1 state tourism website in the U.S. four years and counting.
