Memorial Day is a time to reflect and remember the men and women who have served our country. On Monday, May 28th Mount Pleasant will honor these past and present men and women with a Memorial Day parade.
The parade will begin at the cross street of Broadway and Arnold at and proceed to
Kinney Street
, and up Broadway to the Town Center .
There will be stops along the way at the World War I and World War II monuments as well as the Korean Memorial. The parade will conclude at the Riverview Cemetery .
If you cannot attend the Memorial Day parade, you can show your support in other ways, like writing a letter to a solider.
Here are a few other ways in which you can honor the memory of those who fought for our freedom. Buy a Veteran lunch, Plant a tree in honor of someone, take flowers to the Commission on Aging here in Mount Pleasant. Or simply take time out of your Memorial Day and give thanks.
