They say time flies when you’re having fun and it’s never seemed so true. The Max and Emily Concert Series has entertained thousands this summer with their 5 for 5 Concert Series, which will conclude August 24th with Howie Day & Friends.
Howie Day, born in Brewer, Maine, has been performing since the early 1990s. Day’s first album, Australia, which he self-financed and self-released, hit the shelves in November of 2000. Despite not having an agent or a record label, Day’s debut album made it to number 18 on the US Heat charts.
Two years later Howie Day signed with the record label Epic Records, and released his next album, Stop All the World Now, in 2005. This record went on to become Epic Record’s first album to be certified gold. Stop All the World Nowalso spawned Howie Day’s two most successful singles, She Says and Collide.
Day followed that success up with three more albums. Be There and Sound the Alarm, which he released only 4 months apart, were released in May and September of 2009. His most recent release was Ceasefire, an EP that hit shelves in June of 2011.
