Event Details

Get your students moving! In this workshop, we will model and practice how to incorporate movement into lesson plans from any discipline (be it ELA, science, math or social studies) to support a diversity of learners. Examples from previous workshops include a dance created to help students remember the branches of government and movement games invented to teach the parts and functions of the human eye. Teachers who take this workshop will leave with finished lesson plans ready to use in their own classrooms that are specific to their curriculum.
Intended for teachers grades K – 7th. If outside of that grade band, please contact Ashley O’Neil at biede1aj@cmich.edu
A $200 stipend is available for teachers in Gratiot, Isabella, Gladwin, Clare, Bay, Midland, and Arenac Counties. Support implementing activities during the school year provided by the center
