Join us at Celebration Cinema for the 2026 showing of MANHATTAN SHORT! This showing is FREE to the public, but you must register to reserve a spot. Seating is “first-come, first-served” upon arrival. If registration doesn’t fill, walk-ins are welcome.
Check-in will begin 30 minutes before the show. Please check in with a
Chippewa River District Library staff member at the theater entrance or
in the lobby to receive your instructions. The total film run time is
approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 7-minute intermission.
We will offer a short discussion time following the show for those
interested.
Manhattan Short is not a multi-day event. All showings offered will have the same content. Suggested minimum age of 14
MANHATTAN SHORT
is the only film festival of its kind. The Final Selections screen
simultaneously across the world over one week, where attendees vote for
Best Film and Best Actor awards at each participating venue. Every short
film selected will automatically qualify for the Oscars of 2027.
Upon entry at all participating venues, festival attendees are handed a
Voting Card and an Official Program and asked to vote for the ONE Film
and Actor they feel should win. Each host venue tallies votes and then
emails them to our NYC headquarters. The MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival
winners will be announced on the home page at ManhattanShort.com and in
the winners link on Monday, October 5, 2026.
