Introduction to Wood Carving

Artist and instructor Robert Paul will open his workshop and introduce you to the art of wood carving. Over the course of ten weeks, you will get a crash course in this intricate art form. He will demonstrate proper use and care of tools, set each student up with a workstation, and provide all supplies to get started in wood carving. You will receive instructions on creating low and high relief and utilizing basswood to create your project. Students wishing to purchase tools will have the option to buy a beginner set from Robert at cost. Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required.

This ten-week course will be held from 7-9 pm, Thursdays October 3-December 12 (Skipping Thanksgiving Day) at Robert’s workshop in Mount Pleasant. The address will be given to registrants.
