Crochet: Granny Squares

Instructor Samantha Falsetta will introduce you to the vintage art of yesteryear that’s made a comeback!  Granny squares are a fun way to begin your journey in crochet and can be used for a variety of artful, colorful fiber projects.  The basic granny square technique can be altered to make it as simple or complex as you like.  You will learn a solid granny square, corner to corner (C2C), and puff post granny squares, as well as instructions on how to piece them together to create afghans, bags, and more.  Students will be supplied with crochet hooks but may bring their choice of yarn to the first class to get them started on their crochet journey.  The class is open to students aged 10 and up.

Class will be held 5:30-7:30 pm on Thursdays, June 13 & 20 in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant.
