Cook the Kit

Visit Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market this summer and pick up a free Cook the Kit. Kits include a voucher* for fresh produce from a local farmers market vendor, a recipe featuring a simple dish, and pantry ingredients. The program encourages easy, healthy cooking with local produce. Stop by the live cooking demonstration table to see the recipe in action, enjoy a delicious sample and pick up your kit. 

Kits are available for pick up on select Saturdays at Mt. Pleasant Town Center (corner of Main and Broadway Streets) from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.  Kits will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last—one kit per household, please.

*Due to the variability of the growing season, produce availability may change throughout the year. Vouchers can be redeemed at any time during the 2026 Farmers Market season and will expire on October 29, 2026.

Cook the Kit is possible through a community partnership with the Chippewa River District Library, Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market, and McLaren Health Plan.
