CMU Speaker Series Presents: "Can We Talk?" with Penn Badgley and Dr. Nura Mowzoon

“Can We Talk” creates a space for you and your peers to think about how you participate in social change and to encourage our community to engage in deep, constructive dialogue.

Join actor and director Penn Badgley, best known for his roles in Gossip Girl and YOU, and psychotherapist Nura Mowzoon for an interactive discussion about how to navigate increasingly volatile and polarized spaces – starting with the relationships you already have. As a team, Penn & Nura bring a unique and refreshing perspective, analyzing and unpacking the interplay of media and social science.

Together we can explore how a healthy and productive communication framework can create a truly better world through finding points of unity, challenge assumptions, and building bridges across divides.
