2026 Michigan Law Enforcement Torch Run 9/11 Stair Climb

Event Details

Join us as we honor the fallen heroes on the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, at the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Participants will honor the brave first responders and civilians who lost their lives by climbing the equivalent of the World Trade Center’s 110 stories — a total of 2,097 steps. Whether you’re climbing in memory of a loved one, honoring our nation’s heroes, or supporting a great cause, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to remember, reflect, and give back.

Registration is $30 and includes an official event t-shirt. Participants may choose from one-hour climbing time slots between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Complete the challenge individually or gather a team of up to five participants and tackle the climb relay-style.

All proceeds benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Michigan, helping provide year-round sports training and competition opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Participants will also have the opportunity to fundraise and earn exclusive incentive items while making an impact in the lives of Special Olympics Michigan athletes.
