When attending Thanksgiving dinner, you’re always faced with the difficult decision of what to bring. This holiday season, we’ve got you covered! Our guide will help you choose the perfect dish from a local Mt. Pleasant establishment to wow your guests and support our community.

Main Course

Ric’s Food Center is a local favorite when it comes to ordering from a deli. Ric’s deli offers a wide selection of signature salads and the perfect meat, cheese and veggie spread for any size group. Pro tip: if you call a representative at the deli they will ask questions and help you better gauge how much food you should order for your get together.

Instead of buying a frozen turkey this year, make sure to buy a fresh turkey from Smith & Sons in Mt. Pleasant. Smith & Sons is locally owned and offers everything from fresh meat and cheeses to homemade items. If you’re looking for a unique turkey, consider purchasing a Duerksen Turkey, turkeys raised on a local farm, from GreenTree Co-Op Market.

Desserts

For the holiday season, our local bakeries have you covered. Ignite Donuts, the newest bakery in town, is offering pre-orders on gourmet apple, pumpkin, Boston cream, and maple bourbon pecan pies. Ignite will also have take and bake cinnamon rools, dinner rolls, and bread loaves available! Or call Cops & Doughnuts – Central Precident by November 18 and order a pie from them!

Looking for a yummy alternative for dessert other than a homemade pie? Treat your tastebuds to a delicious cheesecake from Max & Emily’s Classic Cheesecakes in Mt. Pleasant. Choose from a wide range of flavors such as: strawberry, eggnog, pumpkin slice, traditional & more!
