Summer is the perfect time to get outside for some park fun. This year, Isabella County Parks has partnered with CMU, RPL (Recreation Park & Leisure) Department to offer the new Play on the Way Program out at 3 of the county parks; Deerfield Nature Park, Coldwater Lake Family Park and Herrick Recreation Area.

Play on the Way provides an interactive park experience with supervised games and activities for children of all ages. The fun is brought to the parks giving a wonderful free opportunity to enjoy a unique rural recreation experience. The CMU Recreation Staff bring a fully equipped truck and facilitate youth and families through a variety of outdoor experiences. Activities such as KidzScience, sports, games, environmental activities, cultural arts, whacky water days and family playground relays; everything active and fun we can dream up!
