As the fall season continues and people start to look for things to do with friends and family, it’s a good idea to start looking at what’s happening in Downtown Mt. Pleasant. There’s always a wide range of events going on and you may not know what the Downtown area has to offer! To make future planning a little bit easier, below is a list of upcoming events, new businesses and ways to spend time with loved ones.

Ladies Night Out | Nov. 10
Get your shopping bags ready! Ladies Night Out is a yearly event where women are able to roam free around Downtown and enjoy the large number of bargains, sales and promotions the participating merchants have to offer. It’s a great way to get holiday shopping out of the way or to just have fun with friends. With a $5 donation at the door of the Broadway Theatre, participants are entered into a raffle drawing with prizes from over a dozen different local businesses. This year’s participating businesses are RedBloom Yoga, Fusion Fitness and Boot Camp, Le Fleur Boutique, Pure Vitality Juice Bar & Spa and MORE!


Karma Kat Café | Anytime!
Ever wondered what it’s like to visit a cat café? With Karma Kat Café you don’t need to look any further than Downtown Mt. Pleasant! The café is a recent addition to the community and has been doing a wonderful job in finding these cats their FUR-ever homes. It has hosted a variety of events including crafts with cats, yoga with cats and a two for Tuesday deal! Spending time with the cats is a great way to relax and de-stress – who wouldn’t love these furry friends?


Mt. Pleasant Christmas Celebration | Nov. 30 & Dec. 1
There’s no better way to spend time with family and friends than wandering along the streets of Downtown to enjoy the 25th Anniversary of the Mt. Pleasant Christmas Celebration. The celebration includes: crafts, Christmas sing-alongs, tree lighting ceremonies, a pancake breakfast and more! To celebrate the anniversaries of this beloved holiday event AND their own, The Bird Bar & Grill is sponsoring a firework display after the lighted parade on Dec. 1.


Mama Bair Art at Painted Turtle | Nov. 15, Dec. 6 & 20
Megan Bair, otherwise known as Mama Bair Art, will be holding three instructional painting sessions over the next two months at Painted Turtle – so don’t miss out! Megan is the owner of Roz’s Diner in Rosebush and hosts painting sessions for all ages at various businesses. Man vs Mountain 5K | Feb. 2, 2019
Looking ahead to the New Year, the Man vs. Mountain 5K is right around the corner! Man vs. Mountain is a fun, unique obstacle course race that gives participants an added challenge of competing in the frigid elements of a Michigan winter. Early registration is now open and the prices are low – so register before it jumps to full price!
